Welcome to Ashfield Medical Practice
Ashfield Medical Practice is a friendly, long established medical practice based in the village of Milngavie. We provide quality health care services to the residents of the village as well as the surrounding area of Bearsden. GP practices are busier than ever and the entire team here at Ashfield Medical Practice are working harder than ever to provide a safe service to our patients. Please note that if you need to contact us, you will be given a phone consultation first and will be given a face-to-face appointment if it is deemed appropriate.
Please see below for the ways in which general practice have adapted during the Covid-19 pandemic and visit our 'Who to turn to' page for more information on which clinican/service is more appropriate for your medical needs.

How are GP practices working differently during the Covid-19 pandemic?
GP practices, and our staff, are very busy tackling the Covid-19 pandemic and giving care and advice to you.
GP Practices are open but are working differently in order to protect patients and staff.
Most practices are using a “Telephone First” service. This allows the team to assess patients over the phone and consider who needs to be seen face-to-face or whether a telephone consultation is more appropriate. This helps to ensure that everyone gets the type of appointment they need and prevents patients travelling to the practice if they don’t need to.
GP reception staff are vital members of the practice team and treat all information as confidential. They ask questions to ensure that patients are directed to the best support, within and out with the practice.
Ashfield Medical Practice has a team of specialists working alongside the GP’s. The team includes; Phlebotomists, Healthcare Assistants, Nurses, Advanced Nurse Practitioners , Pharmacists, The Chaplain service and a Wellbeing Advisor. Please remember this is why receptionists ask questions, to ensure that your issue is dealt with by the most appropriate team member.
Please respect our staff during this difficult time and we once again want to thank you all for your patience.
Please use NHS Inform for updated COVID-19 information as much as possible.
