The Practice Nurses are involved in many activities in the surgery, including chronic disease management, health promotion, women's health, smear taking, wound care and management. 

Sister Bennet has a special interest in the management of diabetes and is an advanced nurse prescriber. 

Appointments can be made directly, or if appropriate, after consultation with your doctor.  They work from the treatment room in the surgery. 

Please note that with changing roles, most of your routine blood samples, blood pressure readings and height and weight recordings will now be taken by our highly trained Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) Rhonda Miller. It is usually more appropriate, if you require blood samples taken, to make an appointment with our HCSW instead of the practice nurses. Rhonda is also trained in the removal of stitches, wound care, B12 injections and ear irrigation (ear irrigation must be approved by a GP before appointment is scheduled).

If you are newly pregnant, please contact the Maternity Booking Line on 0141 347 8400 to organise your visit.

If you have any concerns regarding miscarriage and your pregnancy is known to the maternity services, please call the early pregnancy advisory service on 0141 201 2331 for further advice. If you are experiencing heavy bleeding, please attend your nearest A&E Department.
